Youth & Children
Our children and youth, along with their families, are the source of energy, inspiration, laughter and service at Zion UCC! From nursery and preschool all the way through confirmation and high school, our goal is to help to form the faith of our young people and to instill an understanding and appreciation of worship and the role of the church in their lives and in the world.
Church School
Held each Wednesday evening at 6:00 pm from September through May, Zion’s Church School provides lessons in spirituality and religion, engaging in Scripture and the Christian tradition through art, music, movement, and prayer. Confirmation classes for youth ages 14 – 16 provides in-depth, soul-activating classes to our young people at this critical stage in their religious/faith development. If your “seed gift” of love extends to children, teaching Church School can be a blessing that extends far beyond the current generation. Or you may want to serve on the Zion Scholarship Committee, assisting high school-age students with college plans. We strive to ensure that “our kids” know that they are treasured and supported throughout their life journeys!
