A Special Thank You
We extend our heartfelt thanks to everyone who helped make Vacation Bible School such a wonderful week for our children and families.
A special thank you to our Christian Education Committee for the many hours of planning, organizing, preparing materials, coordinating volunteers, and attending to countless details before VBS even began. Your dedication, creativity, and commitment helped create a fun, meaningful, and faith-filled week for our campers. We are grateful for the time and effort you invested to make this ministry possible.
We also thank Molly Thelemann, Betty Braun, and Lisa Reddemann for their dedication, enthusiasm, and countless hours of service throughout the week. Their caring hearts and willingness to help created a welcoming environment where children could learn, grow, and have fun.
A special thank you to Bob Braun and Nate Braun for helping make Water Day such a huge success. Their hard work setting up the slip-and-slide, hoses, and water activities provided a fun-filled experience that quickly became one of the highlights of the week. We appreciate their time, effort, and willingness to help create lasting memories for our campers.
A special shoutout goes to our amazing high school helpers, Elena Thelemann, Callie Griesen, and Kendra Hale. Their energy, leadership, and positive attitudes made a tremendous impact on our campers. They served as wonderful role models and helped make each day fun and engaging.
We are especially grateful to Green Lake Lutheran Ministries for providing an outstanding day camp program. Their energetic staff brought our Living Stories at the Water’s Edge theme to life through worship, games, Bible stories, crafts, and fellowship. Their enthusiasm, faith, and passion for ministry created an unforgettable experience for everyone involved.

Vacation Bible School Recap
What a wonderful week of Vacation Bible School at Zion UCC!
This year, we welcomed 18 campers who spent four exciting days learning, growing in faith, making friends, and having fun together. We were blessed to have the support of 4 adult volunteers and 3 high school helpers, whose enthusiasm and dedication helped make the week a success.
A special thank you goes to Green Lake Lutheran Ministries for providing an outstanding day camp program. Their energetic staff led campers through meaningful worship, engaging activities, creative crafts, and unforgettable experiences centered around our theme, Living Stories at the Water’s Edge.
Throughout the week, campers explored several Bible stories, including Jonah and the Whale, Baby Moses, and Jesus Calming the Storm. The theme of the week focused on trusting God and not being afraid, knowing that God is always with us to guide us through life’s challenges. In one lesson, campers learned about Jesus asking His disciples to join Him on a boat. When strong winds and waves arose, the disciples became frightened, but Jesus reminded them to trust in Him. Through this story, campers learned that even when we are scared, we can place our trust in God, who will always be there to guide us.
Campers expressed their creativity through a variety of crafts, including tie-dye shirts, woven baskets, clay creations, and crosses made from foil tape, which they designed and decorated themselves. The tie-dye activity was a particular favorite among the campers!
The week was also filled with laughter and excitement during games such as Rainbow Tag, Pew Battleship, Blob Tag, Ninja, Imposter, and the camper-favorite Whoop Whoop. In Whoop Whoop, campers raced throughout the church searching for five hidden objects while trying to avoid being caught by a “Whoop Whoop.” If caught, they were sent to “prison,” where they had to complete a fun challenge before returning to the game. It quickly became one of the highlights of the week!
We wrapped up the week with a fun-filled Water Day, highlighted by a giant slip-and-slide that quickly became a camper favorite. The week concluded with a special closing program for parents and families. Campers did an amazing job sharing what they had learned throughout the week by performing a skit, singing songs, worshiping together, and showcasing the faith lessons they explored during camp. It was a wonderful celebration of a week filled with faith, friendship, learning, and fun.
Thank you to everyone who volunteered, donated, supported, and prayed for our Vacation Bible School. It was a joy to watch our children grow in faith while creating lasting memories together. We are grateful to all who helped make this week such a meaningful and memorable experience.
